The region has worked together over the past two years to strenghten identified vunerable services. Services were identified as vulnerable due to any or all of the following:
- the service facing a workforce shortage which if left unresolved would lead to service access issues or service failure
- access to the service by the region was unacceptable or highly variable
- the demand for the services meant that a response was needed to enable the service to respond to this demand or to prepare for future demand.
In the 2013/14 financial year, four services were identified as vulnerable:
